HOT ROLLED STEEL (HR)
Hot rolled steel is malleable at high temperatures, enabling it to be rolled into a variety of shapes. Hot rolled steel is a basic carbon steel product commonly used for applications in which dimensional tolerances and surface finish quality is not critical.
COLD ROLLED STEEL (CR)
Cold rolled steel is rolled at room temperature, below its recrystallization temperature, which enables better control over finished product shape, thickness, dimensions and surface finish. Cold rolled steel is commonly used for applications in which dimensional tolerances, strength and surface finish quality are critical.
ELECTRO GALVANIZED STEEL (EG)
Electro galvanized steel are coated by applying zinc to the surface of hot rolled or cold rolled base material by the electrolytic galvanizing process. This allow, for both side coating, one side coating and differential coating. They give chromate-free or phosphate treatment to improve corrosion resistance or printability.
HOT DIP GALVANIZED (GI)
Galvanized coil and sheet is produced by adding zinc to hot rolled steel and cold rolled steel for additional corrosion resistance. Galvanized products have the virtue of a stabile extra-fine oxidised film which shuts off air contact and thus protects the coated zinc sheets from corrosion.
GALVANNEALED STEEL (GA)
Zinc-iron alloy-coated by the hot-dip process followed by heating the steel to induce diffusion alloying between the molten zinc coating and the steel. The resulting finish is a dull matte surface. Galvannealed steel is very conducive to forming, welding and allows for excellent paint adhesion.
PREPAINTED STEEL (PP)
Prepainted Steel is prepainted galvanized steel, also known as precoated steel, coil coated steel, colour coated steel etc. A galvanized steel in coil form is cleaned, pretreated, applied with various layers of organic coatings can be paints. The steel thus produced in this process is a prepainted, prefinisfed ready to use material.
SILICON STEEL (SI)
Silicon steel is a special steel that use as motor core which is required efficient magnetism.
STAINLESS STEEL (SS)
Stainless steel is a group of corrosion resistant and high temperature steels. Their remarkable resistance to corrosion is due to a chromium-rich oxide film which forms on the surface. When ordinary carbon steel is exposed to rain water, for example, it corrodes forming a brown iron oxide, commonly called rust, on the surface. This is not protective and eventually the entire piece of steel will be converted to rust.
Tinplate has an attractive surface finish and features excellent corrosion resistance, formability, paint ability, lacquer ability, printability, and strength, solder ability, weld ability and lastly, is beautiful in appearance.
